Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen will begin with manga volume 8 and end with manga volume 16. Volumes 1 to 7 were adapted for the first season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. A precursor manga volume 0 was adapted for the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0.

Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen should include between 24 and 26 episodes. The Shibuya Incident storyline is way too long for a single cour season, thus I envision a second season split into two cour halves with 13 episodes each.

Release Date for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

 

Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen has been confirmed, however an official release date has yet to be set. Season 2 will, however, most likely be released in April or July 2023.

On average, it takes 12 to 18 months for a new season to be released after it has been confirmed. As a result, the second half of 2023 appears to be a good bet for the next season’s release date.

Studio MAPPA has done an excellent job with this anime adaptation thus far, and I am confident that they will do so again with Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, so let’s hope Shueisha does not rush the release date.
