Absolute Duo Season 2 has yet to be formally announced, therefore no release date for the second season of this anime has been set, but the question is whether there will be one and when it will be published.
Here’s everything we know so far about whether or not a new season of Absolute Duo will be released, as well as when it will be published.
Absolute Duo, also known as Abusoryto Duo in Japanese, is an anime series based on a popular light novel of the same name published in 2012. Takumi Hiiragiboshi wrote the Absolute Duo light novel series, which was illustrated by Y Asaba.
Absolute Duo is a popular fantasy-harem anime series with action aspects that follows Tooru Kokonoe, who hopes that enrolling in the Koryo Academy will help him obtain power after his sister and friends were murdered by an unknown man.
Absolute Duo, an anime television series produced by Atsushi Nakayama and animated by Studio Eight Bit, has only had one season so far. There’s no indication yet on whether the studio or director will return for a second season of Absolute Duo.
In January 2015, the first 12-episode Absolute Duo television anime series aired in Japan. Since then, the series has acquired a large fan base that is still waiting for the premiere of Absolute Duo Season 2 Episode 1 or a sequel.
Will there be a second season of Absolute Duo?
Season 2 of Absolute Duo is almost probably not going to materialize. Absolute Duo was not a financially successful anime adaptation. That is why the anime’s second season has never been announced, and it is extremely doubtful that it will be.
The Absolute Duo anime was a financial failure. The average number of copies sold on Blu-ray for Absolute Duo is roughly 1,200, which is minimal, therefore there is essentially no paraphernalia or figurines available for this series. Also, the last volume of the light novel only sold roughly 10,000 copies, and that was after the anime adaptation, so I don’t think Absolute Duo season 2 will succeed.
Regrettably, there is still sufficient content to modify for a new season. There are eleven volumes published in Japan, but only four have been adapted so far. One to two further seasons could be created based on what is currently available, however a sequel to this series has a near 0% probability of happening.
Release Date for Season 2 of Absolute Duo
There is no official release date for Absolute Duo Season 2 because a second season has never been confirmed, canceled, or announced, hence there is no countdown, and a release date is unlikely to be given because a second season will almost certainly never be released.
I wish I could claim that there is still a hope for a new season and a release date for this show. However, based on the success of the anime and the fact that the Absolue Duo light novels are already complete, I feel the chances of a sequel in 2021 are almost nil. Nothing about this show looks to be profitable enough to warrant a second season, and there is nothing to advertise now that it has ended.
If there is any news or a release date for a new Absolute Duo anime project on the Absolute Duo official Twitter account, we will update this site. If you’ve given up hope for a new Absolute Duo season, you can start reading the light novel from volume 5 because the anime only covered volumes 1 through 4.
Where Can You Watch Absolute Duo?
